Courier announces 2007 Fast 55 winners This year's program includes 24 repeat companies The Business Courier this week announced the winners of the 2007 Fast 55 awards, which recognize the fastest-growing privately held companies in the 15-county Tri-State region. The winners in each of five categories - based on the size of revenue - will be announced at a Dec. 6 luncheon, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at downtown's Duke Energy Center. A supplement will be inserted in the Dec. 7 issue of the Courier featuring all 55 companies. "The growth rates of these companies is really incredible," said Courier Editor Rob Daumeyer. "It is a testament to the economic vitality, and diversity, of the Greater Cincinnati area." The 55 companies were ranked based on revenue growth over a three-year period, 2005- 2007. Revenue categories are used so small companies, which have a relatively easier time showing a high percentage revenue growth, don't dominate the top rankings. To be considered, companies must have at least $1 million in average annual revenue. The nominees also must be headquartered in the 15- county Greater Cincinnati region. The Fast 55 are determined through Courier research and nominations. This year, the Courier received 99 nominations for the Fast 55 program. Among this year's Fast 55 are 24 repeat winners from the 2006 program and 31 first-time honorees. GOOD TO GROW Here is the list of winners of the Courier's Fast 55 awards for 2007.
